I never got a ticket for a traffic violation due to cameras in the intersections. But the entire image of the city is approaching a police state status. What with the millions spent to litter the city with intersection toothpicks, removing the right or left turn street space to a narrow path encroaching dangerous driving lane, what with the colorful intersection demarking the cross walks as though we are all too stupid to know what is what. Thus they need to color these areas for us a kids, as we would need to have done while in the kindergarten for an ID as what is your or not. And lets not forget where these millions are coming from but for the bonanza of the 6000 plus new homes at about 1200 sq ft being a total of about 7,200,000 sq ft. at a fee cost of about 60/ ft plus inspection fees. It is an income of about 430 millions in addition to our standard tax bills. And all during this pandemic when most local businesses are struggling to survive, Well done this city in which I had spent over 50 years hoping for it one day to arise to the need of its people rather than the image it will portray in the next big city campaign for who is the best. Best for what? Best for whom? Best in what terms?

On January 27, I went to the Lion Supermarket in Newark in the evening for grocery shopping. After the shopping at about 5:30 pm, I came out, loaded all the groceries and turned on my van engine. At that time, a guy came near my car, smashes my van window from the passenger side and took my whole bag while I was in the driver seat. It happened right in front of me & was scary. Please be very careful.
