RiverLink customers reach $2.5M settlement in late fees dispute

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A subcontractor of RiverLink, the firm in charge of the tolls on a few Ohio River bridges concerning Louisville and Southern Indiana, has attained a multimillion-dollar settlement to close a lawsuit submitted over late-rate notices.

Gila LLC, sued by a few Indiana residents who reported they’d been billed late service fees more than unpaid tolls just before obtaining their very first invoice, will fork out $2.5 million to settle promises from motorists who reported they ended up incorrectly billed, in accordance to a settlement signed Feb. 18.
