Foundation celebrates grants at annual luncheon | Local News

The Terrill Thomas Basis held its annual grant awards luncheon Tuesday at Ocean Forest, on Sea Island. 20 nonprofit companies have been the recipients of a total of $700,000 in grants that will support them sustain and enhance their packages.
In accordance to Terrill Thomas Foundation Executive Director Susan Goodhue, this was the foundation’s premier once-a-year support to date.
The receiver corporations were the Boys and Girls Club of Southeast Georgia, Court docket Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), Coastal Pines Complex College or university Basis, College or university of Coastal Georgai Foundation, Glynn Community Disaster Centre/Amity Property, Epworth by the Sea, Close friends of Fort Frederica, Frederica Academy, The Accumulating Area, Coastal Ga Historical Culture, Hospice of the Golden Isles, St. Simons Land Have confidence in, MAP International, American Pink Cross, Safe and sound Harbor Children’s Center, SHARE Speech, Listening to and Rehab, St. Francis Xavier Faculty, STAR Basis, YMCA Foundation and Coastal Youth Symphony.
The late Thomas, who went by Terry, died at age 89 in 2011, was the retired longtime routines director for Sea Island. She founded the Terrill Thomas Basis in 2004, so the organizations she supported through her lifestyle would keep on to advantage.
“Since the basis began in 2004, practically $6 million in aid has been offered to 34 nearby charities,” Goodhue claimed.
